Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements

Any student seeking admission into the BSN nursing major must complete Pre-Nursing requirements with a C- or better and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applications for the BSN program are available May 1st through June 30th.

Degree Requirements

The requirements for conferring the bachelors degree in nursing are:

  1. Successful completion of:
    * the required courses in the program of study of the College of Nursing;
    * a minimum of 45 credit hours earned at the University of Cincinnati;
    * senior year nursing courses;
    * degree requirements within seven years from date of matriculation;
  2. A minimum of a 2.0 current and cumulative grade point average;
  3. Filing of the appropriate degree application forms with the College's Office of Student Affairs by the defined deadline;
  4. Payment of all delinquent university/college obligations; and
  5. Recommendation by the faculty of the College of Nursing
