Patient Simulators
According to a recent report from the Institute of Medicine, "Healthcare
is a decade or more behind other high-risk industries in it's attention to
ensuring basic safety." The use of patient simulators plays an important
part in bringing the healthcare profession up to date. Simulation helps prepare
students for difficult cases and allows errors without harming patients. It
also provides opportunities to realistically practice team interaction and
leadership.
