Emerging Infectious Diseases
Emerging Infectious Disease is an online peer-reviewed journal published be the by National Center for Infectious Diseases through the CDC. Articles can be read online, printed, or downloaded in ASCII or PDF formats. Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for free to read PDF formats.

Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report
Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report is prepared by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The data in the weekly MMWR are provisional, based on weekly reports to CDC by state health departments. This site requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view MMWR documents.

JAMA
The web-based version of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) offers absact-like summaries of the articles appearing in the paper version of the journal. The full table of contents of the journal is provided from the most current journal to  July of 1995. Search capabilities by author, title or subject are offered. In addition, full-text versions of Medical News Perspectives are provided. One is able to subscribe online to the paper version of the journal.

The New England Journal of Medicine
The New England Journal of Medicine is online in almost full-text version. It is currently free to subscribe and they will send you their weekly table of contents free, directly to your e-mail box.

Journal of Nursing Jocularity
This is the Web edition of the Journal of Nursing Jocularity. It is filled with satire, true stories, cartoons and all around funny stuff related to nursing and health care. It includes articles about the therapeutic use of humor, reviews of current books, tapes and toys related to humor and the health professions, and interviews with experts in the area of psychoneuroimunology. The web version contains samples of stories from past issues and is updated with one to two stories with each paper version.

The Nurse Practitioner
This site provides a listing of the table of contents of the current The Nurse Practitioner, ability to subscribe by various means, including online, database search for CE offerings by specialty, information on conferences and seminars provided by SpringNet CE Connection, an online program with CE offerings by an ANCC/AACN provider.

Nursing Research Methods
Nursing Research Methods (NRM) is a full text electronic journal is dedicated to issues of research methods and is sponsored by the Institute of Nursing Research at the University of Cincinnati. The purpose of this journal is different from other nursing research journals. Specifically, this journal will provide a forum for the study of methods in a systematic, interactive manner. Issues of theoretical relevance as well as methodological soundness will be addressed. Consistent with this purpose, both qualitative and quantitative research methods will be examined.

Online Journal of Issues in Nursing
The Online Journal of Issues in Nursing, published by Kent State University School of Nursing, and provides a forum for nurses and other interested parties to exchange opinions and data about topics that affect nursing practice, research, and education. The online only journal is frequently updated and all issues are constantly available.
