American College of Medical Genetics(ACMG)
The American College of Medical Genetics is the independent body established by the American Society of Human Genetics to "oversee the provision of genetic services nationally, to represent the providers of these services and their patients with genetic disorders, and to elevate the rapidly emerging specialty of medical genetics to full representation within the established medical service, certification and regulatory organizations". This site will link to the ACMG Journal, annual meeting information, policy statements, membership applications, and the ACMG Foundation.

Access Excellence
Access Excellence "is a national educational program that provides high school biology teachers access to their colleagues, scientists and critical sources of new scientific information via the World Wide Web".This page provides links to biology, biotechnology, botany, microbiology, microscopy, virology, genetics and much more. In addition, science updates, issues and ethics, and online projects can be accessed via this site.

Bugs in the News!
Bugs in the News is a web site comprised of scientific articles. Feature articles that can be found here include: What the Heck is a Virus?; Engineered Adenovirus Cancer Therapy?; and What the Heck is an E. Coli? In addition, several other science related articles can also be read through this site.

The Dartmouth Ethics Institute
The Institute for the Study of Applied and Professional Ethics is comprised of over 150 Dartmouth faculty and administrators who "gather in seminar groups, at forums, and task force meetings to discuss and research cutting-edge ethical issues, to prepare publications, organize symposia and conferences, and develop courses". The mission of the Institute is to "strive to facilitate scholarship and teaching in applied and professional ethics".This site allows access to a list of faculty and administrators at Dartmouth, current institute projects and programs, conference information, Ethics Institute courses and publications, newsletters, and other ethics-related web sites.

DNA Learning Center
"The DNA Learning Center is the world's first science devoted entirely to public genetics education." The DNA Learning Center home page provides information regarding resources, workshops, and programs. The Daily News section provides up-to-date genetic-related articles. In addition, a live chat system and links to other genetic and education related sites are provided.

Genetics Education Center
The Genetics Education Center is a web site created through the University of Kansas Medical Center "for educators interested in human genetics and the Human Genome Project". Information regarding the Human Genome Project, education resources, networking, lesson plans, genetic conditions, glossaries, and other resources can be found at this site.Oncor, Inc.
The Oncor home page is an available web site for researchers looking to purchase specific genetic products, cell regulation products, apoptosis products, and oncor-appligene products. In addition, some products available for purchase through this site, provide a product profile which reveal features and benefits of the product, as well as, principles of the procedure.

Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM)
The OMIM, Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man, "database is a catalog of human genes and genetic disorders authored and edited by Dr. Victor A. McKusick and his colleagues at Johns Hopkins and elsewhere, and developed for the World Wide Web by NCBI, the National Center for Biotechnology Information. The database contains textual information, pictures, and reference information. It also contains copious links to NCBI's Entrez database of MEDLINE articles and sequence information".

"Blazing a Genetic Trail" Research on Mutant Genes & Hereditary Diseases
The Howard Hughes Medical Institute's "Blazing a Genetic Trail" is a report discussing the efforts of families and scientists who have joined together "in seeking the flawed genes that cause disease". Sections belonging to this page that can be reviewed include stalking a lethal gene, reading the human blueprint, why there are so many errors in DNA, how genetic disorders get inherited, how to conquer a genetic disease, and a glossary of terms.

MEDLINE: PubMed & Internet Grateful Med
The National Library of Medicine's, Search MEDLINE: PubMed and Internet Grateful Med, provides free access to MEDLINE, AIDSLINE, AIDSTRIALS, BIOETHICSLINE, ChemID, DIRLINE, HealthSTAR, HISTLINE, HSPROJ, OLDMEDLINE, POPLINE, SDILINE, SPACELINE, and TOXLINE. These links enable the user to conduct a comprehensive literature search on a specific topic.

National Library of Medicine (NLM)
The National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE Plus, is an extensive electronic library that provides free access to MEDLINE, HIV/AIDS resources, National Information Center on Health Services Research and Health Care Technology (NICHSR), Images from the History of Medicine, Various Research Programs, and information on Grants. In addition, this site provides links to current issues regarding the Visible Human Project and the NLM's year 2000 solutions.

World-Wide Web Virtual Library: Biosciences - Nursing
The World-Wide Web Virtual Library: Biosciences-Nursing web site is maintained by Dr. Dee McGonigle, Associate Professor of Nursing, Penn State University. This web page provides information that is characterized according to the following subjects: Nursing Resources, Schools of Nursing, On-Line Journals-Peer Reviewed, Health Care Resources, Sexuality, Virtual Classes in Nursing, Employment Opportunities, and Vendors. In addition, Dr. McGonigle has provided a link to her email for comments, link additions, or specific requests.

"Virtual" Nursing Center - Martindale's Health Science Guide
The "Virtual" Nursing Center is a "medical multimedia education and specialized information resource center". A few of the many detailed topics contained within this web site include metabolic pathways and genetic maps, cardiology, drugs/pharmacology, nursing practice and critical care, vaccine development, clinical examinations/physical exam, national boards and review questions, and nursing references.

WWW Virtual Library: Biosciences - Medicine
The WWW Virtual Library: Biosciences: Medicine: is a database containing information and links to other sites on several medical topics. A few of these medical fields addressed through this site include AIDS, anesthesiology, epidemiology, nursing, pharmacy, stress, and veterinary medicine.

Anatomy & Histology Center - Martindale's Health Science Guide
The Anatomy and Histology Center is a "medical multimedia education and specialized information resource center". There is a wide and diverse range of topics discussed on this web site. Some of the information provided via this site includes anatomy courses, tutorials and encyclopedias, metabolic pathways and genetic maps, anatomy literature and patent searches, interactive anatomy browsers, embryology, reproduction and developmental anatomy, anatomy exams, histology exams, histology techniques and procedures, and anatomy and histology associations.

Multimedia Virtual Medical Library
The Multimedia Virtual Medical Library provides access to an immense number of textbooks and exceptional expert information. Some of the interesting areas covered include abdominal and gastrointestinal imaging, magnetic resonance in medicine, interventional radiology, head and neck imaging, oncology, and digestive surgery.

The National Center for Education in Maternal & Child Health
"The National Center for Education in Maternal and Child Health provides national leadership to the maternal and child health community in three key areas of program development, policy analysis and education, and state-of-the-art knowledge to improve the health and well-being of the nation's children and families." Within this site, one can learn more about what NCEMCH does, the programs that NCEMCH are involved with, policy education, access to research tools to assist with collection, management, and dissemination of knowledge regarding maternal and child health, and the publications that are available. In addition, a reference desk is provided that directs users to information that will help answer specific questions.

This is a web site designed for parents and parents-to-be. Through the Parenting Library, information can be obtained regarding activities, nutrition and food, baby resources, pregnancy and birth, relationships, sports and outdoor activities, computer and online information, toddler and preschooler resources, education, elementary school years, entertainment and leisure, teens, travel, family, health and safety, and money.

EDUFRAME
Edu2 is part of the ABCentral web site. Edu2 provides information and links regarding a variety of diverse information regarding education and courses. It contains information on such areas as accounting, gardens, genetics, bicycle/motorcycle, kid stuff, law, physiology, sports, veterinary, plus many more.

CELLS alive!
This site provides a variety of images useful in undrstanding biology. Areas that can be viewed include parasites, streptococcus, apoptosis, dividing bacteria, penicillin, Helicobacter Pylori, bacterial motility, anatomy of a splinter, bacteriophage, allergy and mites, HIV infection, as well as a variety of other images. In addition, it is possible to purchase the Cells Alive CD from this site which is designed for school and teacher use and can be incorporated into PowerPoint lectures.

Introduction to the Eukaryota
The Eukaryota includes all animals, plants, fungi, and protists. Specific information regarding the above areas can be obtained from this site. Images are also provided. In addition, information regarding a fossil record, life history and ecology, systemics, morphology, taxonamy, a glossary, and a help page are provided for further information.

WebPath: The Internet Pathology Laboratory
The Internet Pathology for Medical Education web site is "designed for students and workers in the health care sciences studying pathology". It includes over "1900 images along with text, tutorials, laboratory exercises, and examination items for self-assessment that demonstrate gross and microscopic pathologic findings associated with human disease conditions".

Medical & Scientific Information Online
Medical and scientific information Online provides access to Indiana Perinatal Online Magazine, a note about "sex education", information on the fetal and infant cardiovascular system, obstetrical ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis, and original medical and scientific articles. This site offers courses available for CEU credit. In addition, a variety of images are included to enhance learning.

The ESG Biology Hypertextbook
The ESG Biology Hypertextbook home page "is designed to supplement the course materials of Introductory Biology and give additional tools to learn introductory molecular biology. The hypertextbook is organized in a very straightforward manner and contains a variety of components designed to be used independently or together to facilitate understanding of introductory molecular biology".

Virtual Embryo
The Virtual Embryo site serves two purposes. "One is to assemble and collate electronic resources for investigators, and the other is to provide students with current information and images to help them understand development. Images are particularly relevant to help students visualize the chronological and spatial changes that occur in embryos. The Web allows for the distribution of both still images and videos so that students may view development dynamically on their computer desktop".

The Visible Embryo
The Visible Embryo is a "comprehensive resource of information on human development from conception to birth, designed for both medical students and interested lay people. The Visible Embryo offers a detailed pictorial account of normal and abnormal development".
