Meet our Co-op Students
Eric Prichard
University Hospital
The Dysrhythmia course is a requirement of the Nursing Co-op program. You learn rhythm interpretation and treatment. This prepares you for another requirement: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). In my experience I have seen patients in different life threatening rhythms and knew what drugs or interventions needed to be given to treat the patient. Now that I am ACLS certified, I am confident that if needed, I would be able to run a code for a patient in a serious arrhythmia and that I would be able to provide the patient a chance to survive. Overall, this course isn’t only one of the most interesting and fun classes you will take, it is also a course that will help you to save lives.
