Mission
To establish a one-on-one relationship between the experienced professional nurse and the novice student nurse seeking assistance with academics, career and professional development.

Purpose
The purpose of the mentoring program is for community minority nurse professionals to serve in a supportive role that fosters minority students' success in the nursing program.
Objectives
- Ensure academic success
- Expose nursing students to positive role models
- Provide access to community minority professionals
- Offer guidance to nursing students making the transition from the university to the workplace
- Facilitate personal growth and career development
