Sigma Theta Tau International Beta Iota was chartered May 21, 1972, as the 55th chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Since then, Beta Iota has forged paths in research funding and knowledge dissemination, developed collaborative efforts with other chapters and organizations, and designed ways to creatively recognize nursing excellence. Beta Iota is one of five local chapters that comprise the Southern Ohio Northern Kentucky (SONK) Consortium and one of 32 chapters located in Region 9.
