Is there a minimum ACT/SAT score?
The minimum ACT score is a 20 and the minimum SAT score is 1000. You must also be in the top 50th percentile of your graduating class.

What is the pre-nursing application process and where do I apply?
You can apply online or you may request an application from the Office of Admissions at 513/556-1100

Application to the BSN program is made directly through the College of Nursing upon completion of the pre-nursing curriculum. This application is available each year between May 1st and June 30th at www.nursing.uc.edu

If I apply and get accepted to pre-nursing, does this mean that I am a guaranteed admit to the BSN program?
No, you must qualify for the guaranteed status by meeting the criteria. These criteria consist of: ACT score of 23 or SAT score of 1120, and a class rank in the top 33 percentile of your graduating class.

Transfer students are not eligible for the guaranteed admit status.

Can I complete pre-nursing courses at any UC college? How do I know which classes are transferable?
You may take pre-nursing course through the other UC colleges; contact the pre-nursing advisor to ensure that you are enrolling in the correct courses.

Can I attend the program part-time?
It is possible to complete the pre-nursing curriculum on a part-time basis but this will extend the duration as a pre-nursing student. However, once admitted into the nursing program a student must maintain the nursing full-time schedule.

I want to transfer from another UC college and switch my major to nursing, what is the process?
A 3.0 cumulative GPA is required to be considered for transfer into the college; Admittance into the pre-nursing program is conducted on a space available basis. Please contact the pre-nursing advisor for more information.

Is it possible to double major in nursing?
It is not feasible to double major in nursing due to the demands of the nursing curriculum and the practicum requirements. You may contact a nursing advisor for further information.

How many students do you admit into the nursing program each year?

The college admits 140 students into the program based up academic performance.
