What are the requirements to begin the RN to BSN program?
An Associate's degree or a diploma in nursing is required from an accredited institution. In addition a student must have their RN license or obtain the license within the first quarter of enrollment.

How often does the program begin?
The upper division (BSN completion) begins once each year for both the part-time and full-time program. The part-time begins each summer and meets each Thursday on the Raymond Walters Campus; the full-time begins each fall quarter and meets each Wednesday and Thursday on the Clifton campus at the College of Nursing.

To begin the upper division the lower division must be completed.

How long does it take to complete the part-time and full-time program?
The part-time program extends over six quarters and the full-time extends over three quarters for the BSN completion.

If I attend the part-time program at Raymond Walters Campus will I pay tuition for that campus or main campus tuition?
Students attending the part-time program are considered main campus students; therefore their tuition reflects that of main campus.

Why?
Faculty from the College of Nursing travel to Raymond Walters to better accommodate students enrolled in the RN to BSN part-time program; students in the part-time program are enrolled as College of Nursing students on main campus.

Can I work on coursework for the RN to BSN during the wait to begin my clinicals in the Associate's or Diploma program?
You may work on the lower division coursework at anytime; however a student cannot begin the upper division nursing coursework.

What is the process to determine the coursework that I need to complete the program?
You may mail in a packet of your unofficial college transcript(s) with a cover letter to the College of Nursing. The cover letter should include a statement requesting a RN/BSN assessment, mailing address, phone number, and email address if possible. An advisor will conduct an assessment for you and promptly reply.

How do I apply to the RN to BSN program?
If you have never attended the University of Cincinnati then you will need to complete a university application. This application can be accessed at www.admissions.uc.edu or you may request a physical copy by dialing (513) 556-1100.

If you have attended the university then you may complete a change in college form. This form can be accessed through any college office at the university.

Will I need to send transcripts with my application to the university if I have submitted them already for an assessment?
Yes, official transcripts are required for the application to the university. The assessment process and the application process are separate; therefore you will need to submit new official transcripts with your application to the Office of Admissions.
